Milkboy Espresso- Cheltenham
Milkboy Espresso is a trendy little café hidden amongst a strip of shops and a train station in the heart of Cheltenham. The staff are so nice and friendly and are happy to help suggest what dish is right for you! They have a good variety of options on the menu so there is definitely something for everyone. To put this place to the test, we decided to get a few classic dishes.

Mac n Cheese Bites
> Return of the mac- crumbed mac n cheese bites with roquette, spicy green tomato salsa + chorizo crumb <
The mac n cheese bite was seriously out of this world! The ratio of cheese to the pasta was spot on and it was not too dry, nor too runny. The outside was perfectly crispy and each bite was better than the last! The tomato salsa was a nice addition to add some extra flavour to the dish and break down the flavours a bit so there is no boredom. We would 100% go back just for this dish because it is just that delicious!

Porridge
> Porridge with poached pear, honey + nuts <
Despite it being a hot day, the porridge was another classic that we had to try. The portion size of this dish was massive and definitely left me full for the entire day! The consistency of the dish is quite thick, but the poached pear and honey helped soften this and make it easier to eat. The pear was poached to perfection and it really stood out in this dish and made the presentation pop. My initial thought of this dish was that it tasted similar to weet-bix, which I absolutely love, so I was really happy with the flavours as it was not bland and very enjoyable to eat.

Smashed Avocado
> Good old fashioned- smashed avocado + pea with poached egg, grilled halloumi, roasted cherry tomatoes + balsamic glaze <
To put this place to the test, we decided to get a very classic dish. The smashed avo tasted like it was homemade and was very enjoyable. It had a great lemon to avo ratio and we demolished this dish in no time. The touch of halloumi was great to give the dish a bit more dimension and make it more substantial (plus, who doesn’t like halloumi?!). The tomatoes were perfect to add another flavour to the dish and prevent the flavours from getting boring. So it is safe to say, they have nailed this classic dish!
