Aunt Billies- Blackburn
Coffee @ Aunt Billies
> COFFEEEEE <
Aunt Billies is a large family owned café in the heart of Blackburn. They are very welcoming and atmosphere reflects this. They have a large menu full of delicious treats and I would recommend giving it a try. Their coffee is perfected and goes well with the large variety of cakes in their cabinet.

Brunch Salad
> Brunch Salad with grilled borccolini, boradbeans, kale, avocado, beetroot hummus, walnuts and quinoa finished with a pomegranate dressing and a poached egg, feta and cured salmon <
Who doesn’t love a healthy breakfast salad?! It makes you feel so energised and really healthy when you leave and you feel more motivated to go to the gym or do some exercise. All the green elements worked so well together and the amount of avocado was beyond incredible!! Everything in this meal was amazing and the ingredients list is quite self explanatory.

Hotcakes
> Hotcakes- fluffy hotcakes with caramelised pineapple, passionfruit curd, lime mascarpone and coconut macadamia crumb <
These hotcakes aren’t just a pretty face, they are fluffy and flavoursome on the inside too! The flavour combo was a little tangy but the sweetness overpowers this. The passionfruit curd was heavenly in the sense that it was sweet and had the perfect consistency. The lime mascarpone complimented the passionfruit flavours and added the sour aspect. The coconut macadamia crumb provided texture as well as a breakdown of flavours to make it more subtle. All ingredients worked well with each other. This dish is quite large and sweet so definitely share it with a friend!

Ocean Trout
> Ocean Trout- roasted ocean trout with batata hara, braised fennel, green beans, finished with a dill goats cheese dressing <
How beautifully is this dish presented?! The trout is cooked to perfection and the veggies complimenting the feature work really well. If you’re in the mood for something heavier and healthy, this is definitely one to try. You cannot go wrong with trying this piece of fish and if you do try it I would love to hear your thoughts!
