Good Times Milk Bar- Bentleigh

> Ricotta hotcakes with berry compote, meringue crumb, vanilla ice cream, spiced maple syrup + popping candy AND Pastrami benedict with meatsmith pastrami, potato waffle, poached eggs, brown butter hollandaise, dill pickle + sauerkraut AND 180G Beef burger with American cheese, red onion, tomato, lettuce, dill pickle, GTMB sauce, beer battered fries <

The new kid on the street, Good Times Milk Bar, is one of the most beautifully decorated cafés I have been to in Melbourne! With baby blue and pink colours everywhere and foliage to complement it, the décor will make you want to take a picture. ALSO THEY HAVE A DOG COURT YARD!!! Can this café be any more perfect?! The menu is quite extensive so good luck deciding what delicious meal you’re going to choose ;)

180G Beef Burger

> 180G Beef burger with American cheese, red onion, tomato, lettuce, dill pickle, GTMB sauce, beer battered fries <

How American does this look?! In a basket with the paper and fries, you cannot get anymore American vibes if you tried. A very satisfying and filling burger, this menu item should not be ruled out when searching for your go to feast. The beer battered fries were super oily and really fat, which complemented the simple burger nicely. The beef patty was cooked nicely and the quality was pretty decent. The cheese melted on top of the beef really topped it all off, which made for a very satisfying meal.

Ricotta Hotcakes

> Ricotta hotcakes with berry compote, meringue crumb, vanilla ice cream, spiced maple syrup + popping candy <

Do not be fooled, these hotcakes are not as small as they look. 3 thick pancakes, that are fluffy and full of flavour, this is a dish you are not going to want to miss out on. The berry compote was super sweet and soaked into the pancake, which created a perfect texture and flavour combination. Also do not worry, they are not as sickening sweet as they sound! The popping candy was an interesting element. I do not like the feel of popping candy, but it definitely added to the fun of the dish, not to mention make the presentation a lot more colourful.

Pastrami Benedict

> Pastrami benedict with meatsmith pastrami, potato waffle, poached eggs, brown butter hollandaise, dill pickle + sauerkraut <

To be completely honest, this was probably one of the best and most flavour packed eggs benedict I have ever tried. The pastrami was super rich and the flavour was nice and smoky. The potato waffle kind of lightened the dish as it was strips of potato rather than a thick slice of toast. The brown butter hollandaise, OMG, I could not get enough of that! It was smothered in the sauce which I loved because the flavours worked incredibly well together. The dill pickle and sauerkraut gave me middle eastern and homely vibes which I loved and worked so well with the pastrami. This is one to put on your list if you’re an eggs benedict kind of person.
